OUR MISSION: UNIVERSAL ACCESS TO SAFE WATER ON TAP

AguaClara LLC designs gravity-powered water treatment plants for low-income communities around the world. Conventional centralized water treatment can be complex, costly, and—for the 750 million people without access to clean drinking water around the world—completely unsustainable.

What sets our water treatment plants apart is their sheer simplicity

SimpleBuild

Simple To build

AguaClara plants are affordable because they are built using locally-available materials and community labor.

SimpleMaintain

simple to operate

Our water treatment plants are easy to maintain and can be operated by community members without technical backgrounds.

SimplePower

simple to power

AguaClara water treatment plants require no electricity and are powered solely by gravity.

After over two years of work, we successfully implemented our first small-scale treatment plants across four small villages in Jharkhand, India. These projects have led to over 2,000 residents gaining access to safe water on tap.
